Sentinel Pine and North Carolina Farm

Browsing through some old paintings - here are two from the turn of the century.

Sunset with sentinel pine.  What I liked the most about these two scenes was the intensity of the sunlight.  The Sentinel Pine was painted in late afternoon light, but the farm below was painted in early morning light.
