Blueberry Camp

This is a painting I completed recently. It shows a "camp" overlooking a wild Maine bluberry field, off Route 1, South of Machias.
After sketching the scene, I first painted the sky, then underpainted the darks with purple and the light, sunny areas with cadmium yellow light (above).
Then I came back with "real" colors to finish the painting.
This painting has been SOLD.
However, a 12" x 18" triptych of a similar scene now hangs in the gallery, priced at $300.
